Breitenbach Apricot wins best of show
\Breitenbach Wine Cellars of Dover, recently won numerous medals in the Ohio Wine Competition. Breitenbach Apricot won Best of Show for fruit wine. Breitenbach Wine Cellars is one of the first wineries to make wines made from natural fruit. The winery has been producing natural fruit wines for 28 years, including fifteen different fruit and berry wines.
Breitenbach Frost Fire, a sweet white wine, won a concordance gold. This medal is reserved for only five percent of the total wines entered. Breitenbach wines winning silver medals were Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Red Raspberry. Breitenbach wines winning bronze medals were Roadhouse Red, Tawny Port and Solara Cream Sherry.
The definition for a bronze medal is a well-made wine that has good varietal character, quality and style. A silver medal is awarded to a wine that is extremely well crafted and shows beautiful balance and varietal character. And a gold medal is reserved for a wine exhibiting perfect varietal character, balance and structure, and containing exceptional qualities and complexities.
