Dover Marching Band Encore Concert
Come celebrate the 2009 marching and football season along with the Dover Marching Tornadoes as they present their annual Encore Concert in the Dover High School Auditorium Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available in advance at Dover High School office or from any band member. Admission for the concert is $5 for all seats. Preschool children and senior citizens are free. Tickets will be available at the door.
This concert has become a huge success for the Marching Tornadoes and now a yearly event. Featured on the concert will be the exciting music, majorette features, drum solos, and dances, from the 2009 football halftime shows and Dover High School’s traditional pre-game show. Some of the more popular tunes from this season include: Celebration by Kool and the Gang; Call Me by Blondie; Stevie Ray Vaughn’s This House is Rocking; Jerry Lee Lewis’ Great Balls of Fire; Come on Feel the Noize by Quiet Riot; Le Regiment (Script Ohio), Ain’t Been Good, Brick House and Long Train Runnin’ and much more. A live recording will be made the night of the concert and order forms will be available. Mr. Gary Petricola, president of WJER Radio and the “Voice of the Marching Tornadoes,” will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
