Corvettes at Roscoe Cruise-In - June 14, 2009
Over 200 corvettes will converge in Roscoe Village at this event hosted by the Classic Glass Corvette Club. Stroll through the streets of Roscoe Village to the tunes of 50’s and 60’s music as you admire your favorite car and talk to its proud owner. Admission and parking are free!
Heritage Craft & Dulcimer Music Festival - June 20 & 21, 2009
Experience the rich heritage of Roscoe Village and its surrounding area through the sights, sounds, and tra-ditional crafts of the 1800s. Listen to the blacksmith’s anvil ring, watch the spinner turn wool into yarn, and the demonstrations of heritage crafters selling their traditional handmade wares. The Mid-Eastern Re-gional Hammered and Mountain Dulcimer Championships will be featured. Guests may participate in workshops on Friday, June 19, 2009 and in contests on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Roscoe has captured the true essence of canal heritage, and every guest can experience one special week-end filled with musical entertainment and traditional crafters. Admission $3.00 per person for guests 12 and older, parking free.
Wine, Art & Garden Festival - September 12, 2009
This one-day event features wine tasting by local wineries, wonderful artists stationed throughout the vil-lage and a select group of garden and craft vendors along with artists set up on the streets of Roscoe Vil-lage. Guests can stroll through the gardens of Roscoe Village or take part in a 'Park & Walk' tour of pri-vate gardens above Roscoe Village. Admission $3.00 per person for guests 12 and older, parking free.
Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival - October 16, 17 & 18, 2009
With over 100 crafters, this invitational craft festival celebrates the sights, sounds and scents of autumn. Smell the fresh apple butter simmering over an open fire as you stroll through the street to the tunes of bluegrass and old-time music. Watch cooking demonstrations on the Living History Tour, participate in a craft auction, a hog-calling contest or sign up for a quilt raffle. Events throughout the week-end will in-clude living history tours, canal boat rides, musical entertainment and children’s activities. Admission $3.00 per person for guests 12 and older, parking free.
Christmas Candlelightings - December 5, 12 & 19, 2009
The first three Saturdays in December, Roscoe Village cheers on the holiday season with its Christmas Candlelighting Ceremonies. Share in the tradition of lighting the Christmas tree and participate in lighting your own candle as "Silent Night" is heard throughout the crowd. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy art with Santa, strolling carolers, candlelight tours, complimentary hot-mulled cider and cookies and many other holiday festivities.
