Rose Garden Cottage provides a sweet getaway

If spending a night or weekend in a cozy country cottage, nestled on four acres of woods, is your idea of the ultimate getaway any time of the year, then the Rose Garden Cottage in Sugarcreek, Ohio, is waiting just for you.
Driving up the lane to the cottage, you are struck by the beauty of the setting, but that is only the beginning of a delightful experience. The small front porch offers a view of the woods and comfortable wicker seating, but the best is yet to come inside the cottage.
A snug kitchenette is complete with all the amenities, including microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, snacks, teas, and hot chocolate. But the most eye-catching part of this area is the glass-topped table, already set with the good china, and the large window that provides a view of the woods. According to owner Sue Miller, guests are often treated to a close-up view of the resident deer while enjoying the full breakfast delivered to the door each morning.
After breakfast and a shower in the exceptionally clean bathroom, complete with hair dryer, guests are welcome to walk the property and possibly get another glimpse of the deer or other woodland creatures.
The living room includes a gas fireplace, perfect to cuddle up in front of while watching your favorite DVD or VHS tape. The sofa also converts into a queen-size bed to accommodate friends or family who want to enjoy the weekend with you.
They say a good night’s sleep is the best thing a person can do for their health, and a night at Rose Garden Cottages can provide that and more. Spend time in the Jacuzzi, then climb under the clean sheets in the queen-size bed, and relax in the serenity of the surroundings.
Owners Joe and Sue Miller look forward to helping their guests enjoy their stay, whether to celebrate a special occasion, for a romantic weekend, or just to unwind from a hectic schedule. Although this is their first venture into owning this type of establishment, they are experienced hosts, having owned a B&B in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for several years.
Rose Garden Cottages is located at 3936 Township Road 162, Sugarcreek, Ohio, close to Walnut Creek and Berlin, and near many of the attractions and shopping areas that anyone visiting Amish Country may enjoy.
