Tranquil Acres Cabins give guests a time of rest and renewal
By Shelly Webb
Jesse and Dorothy Steiner hadn’t planned on owning Tranquil Acres Cabins, but two years ago, when the property was sold at an auction, the two decided to purchase the business.
This was something we could do together, Dorothy Steiner explained, and we have really enjoyed doing it. It’s been hard work but we expected that. We love meeting people and offering them a peaceful time here at Tranquil Acres. Tranquility is something that seems to be eluding many of us these days, but slipping away and spending some time at Tranquil Acres may be exactly what you need. Study after study reveals the benefits of getting away and enjoying some quiet time of rest and relaxation and how this one simple act can renew and strengthen relationships. At Tranquil Acres, the Steiners are proud of the private and unique cabins that allow their guests a great place to unwind. Three cabins, Shady Maple Log Cabin, Tulip Poplar Log Cabin and Cozy Pine Log Cabin, offer individual character and opportunities for rest and renewal to all their guests. Shady Maple is the original cabin and is nestled in the woods overlooking a pond, while Tulip Poplar Log Cabin is also nestled in the woods but features northern rustic pine log furniture. Furthermore, the Shady Maple and Tulip Poplar cabins feature outside two-person hot tubs. Cozy Pine Log Cabin has unique features, such as an extra bedroom on the main floor in addition to a loft bedroom, as well as a hot tub on the back porch. All the cabins have gas grills on the porches and fire rings, said Dorothy Steiner. The Cozy Pine Log Cabin is one we recently built and it can actually sleep two couples or a family. Our cabins are perfect for honeymoons, romantic getaways and those special times when you just need to leave behind the cares of life and focus on one another. Many guests leave notes in our guestbook about how much they enjoy their time here and how nice it is to get away from the daily interruptions of life and just relax. There are many other amenities at Tranquil Acres Cabins, such as fireplaces, Jacuzzi’s for two, complimentary snacks and beverages, and a fish and release pond, which is shared with all cabins. There are also nature trails, outdoor bird feeders and a gazebo. There are also lots of places nearby to visit, Dorothy Steiner added. ìWe’re close to Berlin, Sugarcreek and Charm. People enjoy coming into the area, visiting different places, and then staying at one of the cabins and experiencing the peace, rest and relaxation we offer. We try to cater to our guests and ensure that they have a very special time. Tranquil Acres Cabins are located at 6815 SR 39 in Millersburg.
