Helping Hands Quilt Shop & Museum
Helping Hands began 35 years ago when Alma Mullet was encouraged by her husband to move her quilting frame from her living room to his vacant office space. After raising a family of nine children, Alma began a new chapter in her life by opening Helping Hands Quilt Shop and Museum. The business grew both in popularity and in size and in 1997, a second building was added allowing space to display the hundreds of quilts that are made in-house by local Amish and Mennonite women. The shop also has over 3,000 bolts of fabric, notions, embroidery, quilt frames and supplies, as well as a year-round Christmas Room with cozy flannels, holiday prints and a 50% off table.
