Kids Collection Goes "From
Crib to College"
WALNUT CREEK - Kids Collection in Walnut Creek has offered a wide
array of educational toys, games, and furniture for several years.
This Fall, they will improve and expand that selection. While expanding
in size and developing several new lines they created their new
slogan, "From Crib to College."
The move is being done to supply families with everything that
they might need in the way of bedroom furniture from the time an
infant is brought into the home to the big move to college and everything
in between.
"We are adding cribs and matching furniture, and loft bed
systems to our inventory," said owner Abe Mast. "We will
have nine different colors and 15 different styles of cribs to choose
from, in addition to our locally handcrafted Amish lines. It all
centers around our new motto, 'From Crib to College'." The
two additions in the crib lines are "My Room" and "Sorelle",
national lines which will bring a much larger selection from which
to choose.
Kids Collection will carry all of their lines, and matching furniture.
They will continue to carry all of the same educational toys, including
the ever-popular Playmobile, Brio and Thomas lines, but the new
focus will be on some of the larger furniture items for children
and young adult rooms is part of the store's commitment to its new
motto.
Along with the cribs, they carry a large line of loft systems,
from single bed lofts up to triple lofts. "We have a lot of
combinations for our lofts, including all of the matching desks
and dressers," said Mast.
"We have recently become a 'University Loft' dealer, and we
carry a lot of locally made lofts."
University Loft is one of the premier loft manufacturers, creating
and testing their lofts at colleges and universities around the
United States. The new lines recently made available at Kids Collection
are relatively new, and only became available nationwide four months
ago.
With the expansion, Kids Collection will now be in one store. There
will be more than 4,500 square feet of toys, games and furniture,
which includes furnishings like pictures, book shelves, hat racks
and much more.
"We wanted to tie our stores together more by opening up the
wall between the stores," said Mast. Prior to the expansion,
the toy store and the furniture store were side-by-side in the shopping
mall complex on St. Rt. 39, just west of Walnut Creek in front of
the Holmes County Amish Flea Market.
