 Raven's Glenn Days of Fun

Coshocton County's varied attractions will put group in a good mood

Coshocton County in Ohio’s Amish Country delivers a lot for group tours. A group’s adventure can begin at The Coffee Cup at Historic Roscoe Village. The shops and stores of the village are full of unique items. A good spot for lunch is The Old Warehouse Restaurant.

The nationally accredited Johnson Humrickhouse Museum is home to collections of national significance, including Indian basketry, bead work, and Chinese lacquer ware.

Pearl Valley Cheese makes a variety of award-winning cheeses. Visitors can watch the cheese-making process from the retail store viewing area and receive a free sample. More than 25 types of cheese, bulk snacks, jellies, and jams are available. At Rainbow Hills Winery, group members can sample the international award winning wines.

Dining options and more information are available at www.visitcoshocton.com. The second day can begin with a stop at Unusual Junction. A historic 1895 railroad station is the centerpiece of this attraction, which houses a gourmet market, deli, and gift shop featuring an Amish cheese outlet, more than 800 different hot sauces from around the world, and one-of-a-kind gifts and collectibles. It also houses the 1950sstyle Lava Rock Grill and the Universe Bridal and Prom Superstore.

Nothing compares with the Champaign Sunday Brunch Buffet at Raven’s Glenn Winery. Wine pared with great food is what enjoying wine is all about, and Raven’s Glenn Winery and Italian Restaurant is your group’s key to a great winery experience. Considered by many to be “Ohio’s Crown Jewel Of Wineries,” a Raven’s Glenn experience is as close to a visit to Tuscany as a group will find anywhere in the Midwest. Raven’s Glenn Winery now offers a banquet center.

After the winery, the group can tour Old Stone Fort, a historical attraction. This mysterious structure is presumed by many to have been built by the French explorer D’Iberville, one of LaSalle’s aides.

Finish up the day with shopping at Town Centre’s Main Street in Coshocton. Town Centre offers a wide array of shops, including bookstores, specialty shoe stores, and sports stores as well as a Peebles Department Store, Hallmark Store, and other shops.
